THE Chester branch of Slaters, the menswear and formal dress hire company, will close at the end of August.
The Bridge Street Row branch is one of only three in the country to shut down - the other two are in the south of England.
Manager John Ayre, who has worked for the company for 10 years said that the announcement was ‘a bit of a shock’.
He confirmed that the closure would affect 15 members of staff.
