The A483 northbound has now re-opened in both directions and traffic easing, after a car fire and accident between J7 B5102 Llay Road (Rossett) and A55 J38 (Posthouse roundabout).
Old Chester road between Rossett and Pulford Roundabout is very busy as traffic avoids the northbound A483 which is shut following the crash earlier today.
Welsh Ambulance Service have confirmed nobody was taken to hospital today after A483 crash which saw a car burst into flames.
Motorists are being advised to turn off at J7 Rossett onto the B5102 for the B5445, rejoining the A483 near the posthouse roundabout, after today’s multiple vehicle collision on the A483. Northbound still closed.

A483 still closed northbound
The southbound carriageway is now open following the multiple pile-up on the A483 between the Posthouse Roundabout and the Rosset turn-off. But the northbound carriageway remains closed.
Just to confirm what is being said on Twitter social media. It appears the southbound carriageway has reopened on the A483 between the Posthouse Roundabout and Rossett, following the crash, but northbound is still closed with traffic at a standstill.

The crash happened on the Welsh border with England, just on the Cheshire side. Cheshire Police are dealing with the incident, although other North Wales emergency services were called to help. Will contact them for more details.
Reports the southbound carriageway has reopened after the multiple vehicle pile-up although traffic is still slow. Northbound from Wrexham to Chester remains closed.
Thankfully it sounds like nobody was seriously injured in the A483 crash. Welsh Ambulance Service just confirmed they sent an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle (RRV) to the scene. An ambulance is there still dealing with a casualty with minor injuries. Unknown if they will be conveyed to hospital.
A483 crash update
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service have extinguished the car on fire on the A483. The stop message came in at 3.53pm and the two engines are on their way back to base. No further details on damage or if there were any casualties at the moment
