Yet more heavy rain is due to sweep across the region today (June 13), forecasters say.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning of rain for the North West of England, starting from 12pm and lasting until 9pm.
The Cheshire West and Chester area has been included in the warning, which says 'heavy thundery showers' will lead to 'slow-moving downpours'.
This could lead to 'possible localised flooding' and 'disruption to travel'. But some areas will miss 'most or all' of the heavy rain, the Met Office says.
In the last few days, downpours have caused localised flooding in Chester, Saltney and also Ellesmere Port .
Yellow warnings were issued by the Met Office last week and also at the weekend.
