Major fashion retailer Primark is coming to Broughton Shopping Park.

Located in 39,100 square feet of the former BHS unit, shopping park bosses say Primark will enhance existing fashion offering which already includes New Look, River Island and Next.

The store will be just the first in a number of new arrivals to Broughton.

M&S Foodhall will take over another section of the old BHS site which has been divided into several parts and a new Specsavers store will feature test rooms, a dedicated contact lens department, an in-store hearing centre and a state-of-the-art soundproof hearing booth.

Colin Gilligan, centre manager for Broughton Shopping Park, said the addition of Primark would draw a new wave of shoppers.

He said: “Its opening will reinforce Broughton’s reputation as one of the region’s leading shopping destinations for top fashion brands.

“The store has an incredible reputation for offering high quality fashion at value-for-money prices and we expect the store to attract a brand new wave of shoppers from across the region.

“The opening will conclude an incredibly successful year for Broughton, after five new restaurant openings, the launch of the first IMAX cinema in the region and a number of new retailers opening at the park for the first time.”

The new cinema has 11 screens and is expected to increase footfall further.

Last week Broughton Shopping Park announced that a new state-of-the-art Cineworld will be launched at the shopping park next month.

It completes a new leisure extension featuring restaurants Prezzo, Frankie and Benny’s, Chiquito, Nando’s and Pizza Express.
