A LARGE quantity of drugs and goods stolen from schools and homes have been recovered by police.
The successes were revealed by Sergeant Carlos Brunes, of Ellesmere Port Community Action Team (CAT), at the town's Police Forum.
He explained: 'We have been busy disrupting criminals in the town.
'But the way to get the message across is to keep arresting people and knocking on doors in the early hours.
'We always need more information from the public. A lot of information relates to drugs, drug-dealing and drug-related crime.' Sgt Brunes added: 'In Overpool Road and Sutton Way we have seized a large quantity of cannabis, Ecstasy and amphetamines, about £1,000 worth.
'As a result, we have arrested two people. One is currently on bail and another is remanded in custody.'
He said people leaving doors and windows open in the hot weather have suffered burg-laries, with some offenders also stealing their cars outside.
Sgt Brunes explained: 'Ellesmere Port Public Protection Team have conducted protracted enquiries. We have identified and arrested three suspects.
'All three are currently on remand pending sentencing and collectively have admitted in the region of 30-40 burglaries.'
He added: 'Thieves have been stealing satellite navigation systems left on display in vehicles.
'We have now arrested a few people believed to be responsible. Significant arrests were made on the Westminster and Rossmore estates.
'Someone is now on bail pending further inquiries and some navigation systems have been recovered.'
