Chester telecoms specialist has a record-breaking year
Business communications specialist Pescado says it is on course to achieve its £10m turnover target within two years after another record-breaking year.
The company, which has its headquarters in Chester, recorded turnover of £5m in 2012/2013, an increase of 40% on the previous 12 months, and is forecasting £8.5m in revenue next year. This keeps it on course to smash its £10m target as planned in 2015.
Pescado provides businesses across the UK with telecoms, mobile, IT and cloud services.
During the past year, the company has seen a sharp increase in the number of customers taking its hosted telephony office phone systems.
Pescado employs 36 people in Chester and across its Midlands base and Basildon, Essex.
The company has recently recruited John Cooper, a former telecoms MD, as its business development director alongside technical director Andy Murphy and operations director Paul Warburton to drive sales and service performance.
It is also recruiting additional telecoms sales personnel as part of its continuing expansion plans.
Fraser Watson, managing director of Pescado, said: “More and more businesses are seeing the value in buying flexible office telecoms systems. The growth in this area has been phenomenal in the past year.”
“We set ourselves the target of a turnover of £10m by 2015 and we are now well on course to achieving this objective.”
Pescado moved into 3,000sq ft of office space in Poplar House, Park West, Chester – doubling the space it previously occupied in Ellesmere Port – at the end of 2011. But the company says it will almost certainly need to increase its floor space within the next couple of months.
