The jury who will decide the fate of Nicholas Crawshaw have been released by the judge for the evening, after almost five hours of deliberations.

Crawshaw, 23, of West Street, Hoole, is accused of 16 sex offences, including 10 rapes, against seven victims between 2010 and 2015. He denies all of the charges against him.

After finishing her summary of the evidence, Judge Tina Landale sent the jury out to make their decision shortly after 11am at Warrington Crown Court today Wednesday (March 2).

She told them to take ‘as much time as you need’ and she would only accept a unanimous conclusion on each count at this stage.

No verdicts had been reached after almost five hours of deliberations before the judge released the jury for the evening.
