All are invited to a festive get together with the Lord Mayor of Chester which will raise money for three charities.

Residents and visitors will get the chance to meet Cllr Hugo Deynem during his Christmas open days in the Lord Mayor’s Parlour at the Town Hall.

No entrance fee will be charged to visit the Parlour. However, the Lord Mayor is offering a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie in return for a donation, with a suggested minimum of £2.

All money raised will be donated to his chosen charities: Cancer Research, Older People Active Lives (OPAL) and the Wildlife Habitats Trust.

The Lord Mayor will be meeting people between 1.30pm and 4pm on the following Saturdays: November 28, December 5, 12, 19.

Looking forward to meeting people

Cllr Deynem said: “It would be fantastic to meet as many people as possible during the lead–up to Christmas and in such a beautiful and historic setting as the Town Hall.

“I am looking forward to meeting both residents and visitors to our great city and welcoming them into the Lord Mayor’s Parlour during this festive time.

“This is also a great opportunity for you to see the magnificent displays and history that the Town Hall has to offer. All are welcome.”
