A TEENAGER has been threatened with a knife for his iPod.

On Tuesday night, at around 5pm, a man aged 18 was walking down Brook Lane near to the junction with Victoria Road when he was approached by two men on foot.

They approached him from behind and made threats for him to hand over his iPod music player.

Cheshire Police spokeswoman Rachel Hayes said: “One of the offenders was in possession of a knife which he used to threaten the victim. Fearing for his safety, the victim handed over his iPod to the offenders and ran off down Brook Lane towards Ermine Road.”

The first man is described as 16-17, of medium build with short reddish/ginger hair. He had freckles or spots on his face and was about 5ft 7in tall.

He was wearing a reddish coloured hooded top and grey track suit bottoms.

The second man is 17-18, 6ft 1in, clean shaven with a slim build. He was wearing a grey hooded top, had facial blemishes and a large nose.

The victim was unhurt but was left shaken.

The robbery was totally unprovoked and police are appealing for witnesses to the incident including anyone who saw the offenders in the area at the time to contact DC Clare Fletcher of the Chester specialist investigation unit on 01244613134.
