Big hearted staff at Morrisons’ Chester and Saltney stores have joined forces to bring a smile to the faces of sick children residing in the Countess of Chester Hospital children’s ward this Christmas.

The supermarkets donated 19 cuddly teddies which were made available by staff members donating their teddy bonus vouchers.

On hand to make the presentation to hospital play centre manager Lin Goold and assistant Claire Convry were Morrisons community champions Kate Knight (Chester) and Bonnie Wallis (Saltney).

Staff at the Chester store also donated a teddy to Chester youngster Erin Cross, who went into hospital in Manchester earlier this month for a bone marrow transplant.
