New store manager Shaun Leech said: “Our Chester store is a fantastic opportunity for the area. We’ve filled some of the new roles but we’re still recruiting, so please apply online if you are interested in joining our new team of colleagues.”
The store is also looking to play an active role in the community.
Shaun added: “We are going to appoint a community life champion whose job it is to work with and within the local community, dedicating our time, resources and expertise to helping local people. This will include the ‘Chosen by You, Given by Us’ scheme, which will see three local organisations voted for by our customers receiving a donation from the Asda Foundation.
“We’ll then change organisations and have a new vote every two months.”
The 40,000 sq ft store, spanning two floors, is located on the former Cineworld site and will feature an opticians, as well as the latest fashions from George and homeware as well as a café.
There will be a bakery with hot plate plus fresh counters selling meat, fresh fish and award-winning pizzas.
