Craig Harris operates and own Chester Boat and commercial boat services and was contracted by the council to clean the banks of mud after the high tides on Friday, January 3.

Here is a unique gallery of photographs taken by Craig from the boat during the clean-up operation.

Craig said: "We are also responsible for maintaining open navigation along the River Dee and keeping the river clear of trees and debris that could block navigation or pose a safety threat to river users.

"On days of flooding we attend to help river users and residents where we can.

"We are members of the River Dee emergency plan and are a team of boat masters, marine engineers, power boat instructors and divers."
