Racegoers enjoyed a final flutter at Chester Races on Saturday, September 27, for the final meet of the 2014 season.
Crowds flocked to the city's ancient racecourse as the country's Indian summer held out for the afternoon.
There were birthdays to be celebrated and hen parties to enjoy and Michael Birch from Wallasey would not have gone unnoticed in his comic-strip suit of bright primary colours.
Visitors from Ellesmere Port, Mold, Connah's Quay, Flint, Wallasey and Liverpool were all 'papped' by our photographer Steve Rawlins.
Bookings open on October 1 for the 2015 season at Chester Racecourse.
