A FISH filleting foursome star in an unlikely tale of what might have happened when ladies day at Royal Ascot upsticked for York.

Directed by Gail Young, Amanda Whittington’s exuberant up to the minute comedy Ladies Day will be presented by Guilden Sutton Players from Wednesday, May 15 to Saturday, May 18 at 7.45pm each evening in Guilden Sutton Village Hall.

Work, love and life are just one long, hard, dreary slog in the fish factory for Pearl, Jan, Shelley and Linda.

But their fortunes are set to change when Linda finds tickets to ladies day the year it relocated to York.

Out go the hairnets, overalls and wellies as the four ditch work, do themselves up to the nines and head off for a drink, a flirt and a flutter.

If their luck holds, they could hit the jackpot and more besides.

Tickets, price £10/£8, are available from guildensuttonplayers.ticketsource.co.uk or call 0844 8700 887.
