BABY chicks at Cherry Grove Primary School have inspired the reception classes to learn about the cycle of life.

The chicks were hatched in the Year 2 class, but reception teachers Victoria Story and Jai Stark encouraged their four and five-year olds to find out more.

Since the youngsters joined the two classes at the Boughton school last September, they have been learning about space, people who help us, themselves, traditional tales and superheroes.

This half term, with the help of teaching assistants Sharon Rees, Angela Lorimer and Alison Clark, the children have been inspired by David Wiesner’s picture book, Tuesday.

Next week’s Chronicle will have a photograph of the new starters at Bunbury Aldersey CE Primary School.
