Paramedics treated a person for smoke inhalation after crews were called to an address in Upper Northgate Street at 2.32pm.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "One casualty was treated by paramedics at the scene for slight smoke inhalation."

Engines from Chester and Ellesmere Port attended the scene. The hose reel was used to put the fire out, while a ladder was used to gain access to the second floor.
