A drunken man from Ellesmere Port who exposed himself believed that he had been struck by a car.

While Christopher Gee, 29, had been drinking and was also disorientated following the impact, a court was told.

Gee, of Maiden Garden in Ellesmere Port, admitted a public order offence in Gas Lane in Mold, on October 14.

He was fined £120 with £85 costs and a £30 surcharge at Flintshire magistrates’ court.

The offence put him in breach of a previous suspended prison sentence for which he was placed on a 5-7am tagged curfew until January 3 next year.

Intoxicated

Prosecutor Justin Espie said Gee was in such an intoxicated state that members of the public called the police – mainly out of concern because of his behaviour.

Officers attended, he was verbally aggressive and a witness described him as a disgrace. He tried to get to his feet but kept on falling over.

When he fell to the floor he exposed himself and refused to put it away, the prosecutor explained.

Steve Coupe, defending, said Gee accepted that he had been drinking. But it was his case that he had been struck by a car and was disorientated.
