Popular restaurant meal delivery service Deliveroo is launching in Ellesmere Port next month.

The news will no doubt be welcomed by foodies who don't fancy venturing outside their front door for their fix of quality restaurant grub, as Deliveroo dispatches meals straight to you for a £2.50 delivery fee.

More than 15 restaurants from across the town have already signed up to have their food delivered to people's doors through Deliveroo.

Caroline Hazlehurst, general manager at Deliveroo, said: “We’ve seen a huge demand for Deliveroo in Ellesmere Port and we’re excited to be launching in a few weeks’ time. We’re feeling very positive about the creation of new jobs for local people."

The Deliveroo team is appealing to riders – be it of the bicylce, scooter or motorbike variety – who will deliver food cooked fresh to order to customers' doors within an average of 32 minutes.

"The team is looking for people with passion, drive and great customer service, who are seeking the added benefit of flexible working hours amongst other perks," added Caroline.

"We would encourage anyone looking for a fast-paced and exciting place to work to apply through our website."

Deliveroo launched in London in 2013 and now operates in more than 70 cities around the world.
