Chester Races will once again be under starter’s orders this weekend when the Stella Artois Summer Festival takes place on Saturday (July 23).

Introduced in 2015, this July fixture is a repeat addition to the racing schedule and was implemented to meet demand from racegoers for accessibility and a better spread of fixtures across summer months.

With County Long Room and County Concourse completely sold out and Winning Post and Tattersalls enclosures down to the last few spaces and expected to sell out before the weekend, those looking to attend need to move quickly.

Soon, the only remaining availability will be in the Dee Stand and out on the Open Course. Prospective attendees are advised to secure their tickets early by purchasing online at chester-races.com and group bookings can take advantage of a ‘buy 10 get one free offer’ when purchasing for both Dee Stand and Open Course.

In addition to six races on the card, there are plenty of activities to keep the youngest of racegoers amused on the Open Course. Activities for children on racedays are always free of charge and the Open Course is open to all ticket holders during the day, accessible via designated crossing points between races. This weekend, there will be a giant inflatable slide, bouncy castle and bungee trampolines.

For the adults, Chester Racecourse has teamed up with Princesa Yaiza Resort to offer racegoers the chance to start their summer with a bang and win a fabulous four night luxury holiday for two to Lanzarote.

The raceday promotional team will be roaming the course throughout the day looking to snap racegoers, who will then be prompted to share their image with friends on social media using #Smile4Yaiza and automatically entered to win.

Gates open at 11.30am and racegoers are advised to arrive early before the first race starts at 2.15pm.
