Shopping giant Argos is looking to recruit 18 new drivers to deliver to customers in the Chester area, starting immediately.

Working with the store-based team, the roles involve driving and delivering items to other stores as well as customers’ homes in the area. A clean driving licence and a good sense of direction are important skills for the role.

Permanent full-time and part-time contracts of between 16 to 30 hours are available, working around daily schedules (7am-1pm; 2pm-6pm and
7pm-10pm) running seven days a week.

Successful applicants will receive on-the-job training and development and gain skills via Argos’ Open Door system. This enables them to work through retail training modules at work, on the move or from home using their smartphone, tablet or PC.

Yu Ming Tang, regional general manager, at Argos, said: “We are looking for drivers with a difference – people who not only love being out and about in their community but who are good communicators and passionate about providing great customer service to ensure we can deliver the brilliant service that we are known for, store to door.

“People are at the heart of our business and it’s an incredibly exciting time to join Argos as we transform into a leading digital retailer. We can offer fantastic, flexible training that will benefit people for the long term.”
