Staff and students at The Hammond School welcomed a West End star to the senior prizegiving.

Dancer and choreographer Wayne Sleep OBE presented the prizes before giving an inspirational and amusing speech to the assembled audience.

Earlier in the day, Coronation Street actor and writer Ian Puleston-Davies carried out the same role at the Hammond's Lower School prizegiving, with a speech that encouraged all the students to work hard and follow their dreams.
