The body of a 44-year-old man was found near the entrance of Kingsley Cricket Club this morning (Sunday, January 11).
Police made the discovery after being called to Mill Lane in Kingsley at around 10.20am today.
Enquiries indicate that the man is from the local area and it is believed that he was making his way way along Mill Lane having visited friends in the area. His next of kin has been informed.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Constabulary said: "Whilst police are continuing to carry out enquiries to ascertain the circumstances leading up to the man's death, they are not treating the death as suspicious."
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the man between 6pm on Saturday (January 10) and around 10.20am today.
He is described as white, around 5'10", with short receding brown hair. He was wearing a dark coloured jacket over a light coloured sweatshirt, jeans and dark training shoes.
