AN Ellesmere Port man has been banned from the town with an ASBO.
Husband and wife Kevin and Collette Wainwright, of Ure Court, Rossmore Estate, appeared in Chester Crown Court on a variety of charges on August 21 and 22.
Kevin Wainwright was charged with 16 breaches of his ASBO and three counts of disqualified driving. Collette was charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Three Ellesmere Port residents gave evidence during the court case and, at the end of proceedings, Collette Wainwright was found not guilty.
Kevin Wainwright pleaded guilty to the disqualified driving and all but two alleged breaches of his ASBO.
Judge David Hale indicated he would serve a short sentence for the driving offences and something similar for the breaches.
In addition, the judge said his ASBO would be amended to exclude him from Ellesmere Port.
Kevin Wainwright will appear at the court for sentencing on October 10.
He was conditionally bailed not to enter Ellesmere Port except to travel to and from his solicitors and when collecting his son from school. He must also live in Chester and not drive any private vehicle including an off-road bike.
