PUPILS at Acresfield Primary School in Upton have been somewhere over the rainbow.

The Year 4, 5 and 6 children presented Emerald City, a schools version of the The Wizard of Oz.

Town Crier Julie Mitchell officially opened the show which was presented in amphitheatre style on the school’s outdoor stage, known as The Performers’ Den.

Dorothy was played by Olivia Haslam with her faithful friends The Lion, Cameron Cain-Cairns, The Scarecrow, Phoebe Orsmond, and The Tin Man Jonathan Hughes.

The show was produced by teacher Melanie Steel, who runs a lunchtime drama club.
