Watch new film that promotes Cheshire to the world

Two minute video Look at Cheshire is includes The University of Chester and Bentley Motors

A dynamic short film is inviting viewers from around the world to Look at Cheshire in a bid to attract more investment, new skills, and diverse businesses, to the county.

The two minute video promotes Cheshire’s world leading technologies, unique heritage and global communications links, featuring some of its biggest names such as Bentley, University of Chester and Cogent.

Chairman of Marketing Cheshire Clive Sykes said: “I believe this film does Cheshire proud and really conveys the pleasure of living and working here. I’m sure it will spark enormous interest and, I hope, a tiny bit of envy.

“The film is designed to be relevant not just to businesses seeking to invest but also to prospective employees thinking about making their home in Cheshire. It combines some of the most familiar images of Cheshire with some of the lesser known but equally desirable aspects that underpin the exceptional quality of life to deliver a compelling and confident sales pitch for the county.”

The film opens with Cheshire’s traditional agricultural landscapes but soon shifts to show a gleaming Bentley making stately progress along the production line.

The modern office environment at Your Housing in Warrington, the campus at the University of Chester, the apprentices at Crewe Railway Academy and the high-tech environment of Cogent Breeding are woven in amongst scenes of Cheshire’s magnificent industrial heritage at Quarry Bank Mill, its ample green spaces and fashionable shopping and dining at Cheshire Oaks and in Chester.

The production was sponsored by the Grosvenor Estate which represents the business activities of the Grosvenor family, headed by the Duke of Westminster.

Businesses will be invited to promote the film through their channels and later on in the year the film will be used at a number of promotional events in Cheshire and London and targeted at key investment decision makers.

With a number of key new investment propositions coming on stream around Hs2 and the new Science Corridor Enterprise Zone there has never been a better time to raise Cheshire’s profile.
