Drivers faced a longer commute home after being stuck in standstill traffic on the A51 near Chester .
There were long delays both heading into the city and towards Tarvin on Monday evening (August 8).
Reports suggested the congestion was caused by a fallen tree, meaning cars could not move until it was cleared
The queues, which have now eased, also affected the Sainsburys Roundabout junction with the A55 .
Travel site Inrix said the traffic was backed up all the way to where the A51 becomes Holme Street in Tarvin.
