Barry Manilow coming to Manchester
LEGENDARY entertainer Barry Manilow returns to the MEN Arena in Manchester on Monday, December 8 with his new show “Ultimate Manilow: The Hits . . . and then some”.
Tickets, priced £40, £50, £60 and £70, go on sale 9am Friday, August 29.
Described by Rolling Stone magazine as “The Showman of Our Generation”, Manilow returns to Manchester for the first time since his sold-out 2002 Arena show.
Speaking ahead of his Manchester show – a concert tailor-made for his British fans – Manilow said: “The British public and I have had a long standing love affair for over 30 years. There is no audience for me like the people who party with me at a concert in the UK.”
Manilow has sold more than 76 million records worldwide – including last year’s The Greatest Songs of the Seventies - and has won the American Music Award for Favourite Pop/Rock Male Artist three times.
In 1978, five of Manilow’s albums were on the best-selling charts simultaneously – a feat equalled only by Frank Sinatra and Johnny Mathis.
Manilow’s many hits include Mandy, Copacabana, Could It Be Magic, Can’t Smile Without You and I Write the Songs.
