CHESTER: Chester photographer Bob Hadfield will be holding an exhibition of his photographic work at Alexander’s Jazz Bar in Rufus Court. His work covers a diverse range from moody and very atmospheric urban images to vibrant celebrations of nature, or abstract and highly creative pieces. English Heritage has developed Clash of Knights as the ultimate in competitive historical combat. The concept is simple: four teams of chain-mailed medieval knights fight it out in a series of recreated ‘melees’ and challenges. NORTHWICH: Northwich Fire Station in Braddon Close is opening its doors to the public for a free open day from 10am-4pm and firefighters are inviting everyone along. CHESTER: Sealed Knot stage the UK’s biggest English Civil War re-enactment of the year as 2,000 Royalist and Parliamentary troops re-enact the historic battle of Rowton Moor.
