The Romans will invade Chester Racecourse this Saturday with the Roman Day.
Chariot races and a chance to meet and have your photograph taken with foot soldiers are among the day’s many highlights as well as face painting and pole jousting.
On-track action at the spring bank holiday fixture gets under way at 1.45pm in the Betway Novices Stakes. Six races follow with the final race of the day taking place at 5.10pm.
