ITV will be filming scenes for their hit wartime drama Home Fires this morning (Friday November 20).

Cast and crew will be filming for the show's second series in Steele Street from 8am-7pm with outside scenes planned for the morning.

Members of the production crew were spotted yesterday painting out white lines on the road and one of the houses on the street has been taken over to convert the yard into a laundry.

Bomb tape has also been stuck onto some windows in the street.

Home Fires, about a group of inspirational women bringing their rural village together during the Second World War, has been a ratings success for ITV , avergaing millions of viewers.

Most scenes have been filmed on location in Bunbury, Tarporley and Chester city centre.
