Vicars Cross United Reformed Church in Oldfield Drive are holding their monthly coffee morning from 10.30am to noon on Saturday. This summer Chester Cathedral will host the LEGO Bricks in Motion exhibition. The exhibition will run from Saturday 16 July to Sunday 4 September

13. Duke's Drive Walk

The Friends of Duke’s Drive in Chester will be holding a free guided one hour walk on Sunday to help people learn more about the types of trees found in Duke's Drive woodlands. The walk will depart from the main gates of Duke’s Drive at 10am and will be led by the Eaton Estate's tree expert Francis Chiverton-Stanway. 14. Recovery Walk

The Second Cheshire Recovery Walk on Sunday, celebrating and promoting visible recovery from addiction and mental health issues, meets in front of the Town hall at noon and sets off at 12.30pm led by the Karamba Samba band for a parade that ends up at Grosvenor Park where, from 1pm, there will be a free event and afternoon of recovery celebrations until 4pm. S upporters of the charity Life NoW are organising a Charity Cycle Ride to support young adults with limited life expectancy. The charity a ims to provide respite and hospice care for young adults with life limiting conditions in the North West and North Wales. Th e ride starts and finishes at The Cheshire County Sports Club, Upton on Sunday. Two routes are available, one of 70 miles and a shorter ride of 40 miles. The event has been approved by British Cycling, and includes a mid-way food stop. Some places are still available and entries can be made on line at bit.ly/1RRCkua or via the British Cycling web site.

Frodsham Station in Ship Street opens its doors to the public from 10am to 3pm on Sunday for a safety showcase which is fun for all the family. Budding Cadets will be interested to see some of the amazing demonstrations that will be performed by the service’s Fire Cadets. Operational safety demonstrations will also be performed throughout the day, giving everyone a chance to see the kind of work Frodsham Firefighters do on a daily basis.
