6. Harley-Davidson

Chester Harley-Davidson is set to take the city by storm with their Big Open Weekend on Saturday and Sunday. The weekend will consist of Bobcat Billy’s Moonshine Mission playing live, Mickey Toones Caricature Artist capturing the ‘cool’ with a complimentary live drawing, tattoo artist from Triple A Tattoo Studio on-site, Zap Graffiti doing a live art demonstration, Pin-Up and Pageant Girls with photo opportunities over the weekend, Cafe Racer Exhibition with the AC Schnitzer and very rare Norton Dominator SS, Liquid Grafix will be exhibiting their custom paint jobs and Kool Kat Pinstriping Artist will be doing live demonstrations and exhibiting his work. Tip Top Productions presents Talking Heads by Alan Bennett at the Forum Studio Theatre in Hamilton Place at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday. At once darkly comic, tragically poignant and wonderfully uplifting, Talking Heads is widely regarded as a modern classic, a series of 12 groundbreaking monologues originally filmed for BBC Television. The three monologues to be performed in Chester are A Woman of No Importance, A Chip in the Sugar and A Lady of Letters. The set for the production will be simple - a chair, a small table, a coat stand, a bed and a selection of props appropriate to whichever character is on stage. Tickets £11, concessions £9. Spring fair at St Mary’s-Without-the-Walls Church Hall from 2-4pm on Saturday. Bouncy castle, cakes, refreshments, stalls, children’s activities, fun games, raffle, ice creams and a visit from Green Watch firefighters with their fire engine. Entrance fee: £1 per adult, children free. Event is to raise funds for St Mary’s Community Nursery School.

Save The Family charity concert at St Mary’s Church at 7.30pm on Saturday featuring the Llay Welfare Brass Band and Broughton Primary School Choir with guest singers Karen Anderson and Bernadette Griffiths.
