It promises to be a farce when a village amateur dramatic society mounts another assault on classic works by the hilarious Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society.

Under the spotlight in Guilden Sutton Village Hall will be the society’s production of A Christmas Carol by David McGillivray and Walter Zerlin, Jr

Guilden Sutton Players are busy rehearsing for the show  due on stage from November 20 to 23 at 7.45pm.

Spurred on by the wild enthusiasm of stage-manager Gordon, the ladies portray a dizzy array of characters from the Dickensian favourite and a few which aren't.

They also engineer some novel audience participation and wrap their vocal cords and feet around two original, show stopping songs.

Tickets price  adults £10, OAPs and under16s £8 include a free mince pie.

They are available from www.guildensuttonplayers.org, guildensuttonplayers.ticketsource.co.uk or 0844 8700 887.

There will also be a licensed bar.
