The frontman of multi-million selling indie band Starsailor will play a gig in Chester next Sunday (April 10).

James Walsh was the voice of the post-Britpop group, who released four albums during a 10-year career.

Love Is Here (2001), Silence Is Easy (2003), On The Outside (2005) and All The Plans (2009) all received critical acclaim.

But Walsh is also a singer-songwriter in his own right, and he released his debut solo album Turning Point in 2014.

He plays Chester's Live Rooms venue on Station Road on Sunday, April 10.
