Crooner Rick Astley has announced he will be playing a summer woodland gig at Delamere Forest.

The 'Never Gonnna Give You Up' hit-maker, who is the first artist to confirm dates for the Forestry Commission's concert series Forest Live, will grace stunning Delamere Forest with his soulful vocal stylings on Sunday, July 2.

The performance follows his remarkable comeback after almost three decades away from the limelight, with his first album in 29 years - 50 - going gold.

Rick revealed he 'can't wait' for the Forest Live gigs.

“2017 sees me celebrating 30 years in the music business since my first number one hit," he said.

"I can’t wait to perform as a part of Forest Live and I really hope you can make one of the dates to enjoy the experience with me.”

Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission to bring forests to new audiences, and income generated from ticket sales is spent on protecting, improving and expanding the nation's forests and woodlands .
