Retro music lovers, young and old, from far and wide congregated in Chester’s best music venue last Friday for the launch of a new night, Blow Out – a fortnightly event at Telford’s Warehouse run by BBC Radio Wales, music guru Adam Walton.

Blowing the dust off vintage 45s from artists such as Booker T & The MGs, The Chiffons, The Smoke, The Spencer Davis Group & The Miracles, Adam filled the dance floor with an explosion of Hammond grooves, Northern soul stompers, lysergic fuzz and 60s girl pop.

Adam has DJ'd and compered The Walled Garden Stage across the whole weekend at the internationally renowned Green Man Festival (2012 and 2013) and has shared the contents of his record boxes across audiences all over the UK, from acclaimed sets at Swan Festival to guest DJ sets for the likes of Future of the Left and The Joy Formidable.

Telford’s Warehouse is a renowned music venue and is at the forefront in live music both new and old.

Participants of Blow Out were treated to a reunion show from legendary Rhythm ‘n’ Blues act The Nightporters.
