VISITORS to Holywell are in for another treat this weekend.

High Street will be filled with marquees, gazebos and entertainers for the Local Craft and Produce Fayre.

The event takes place on Saturday from 10am-4pm and is being organised by volunteers from Transition Holywell and District.

It follows the successful Well Inn music festival last Saturday which drew huge crowds to Holywell High Street.

A spokesman for the group said: “As well as a fantastic variety of stalls – including ‘Dr Bike’ from Chester Cycling Campaign, and Mother Rowan with traditional remedies, there will be cookery demos by the cheeky Dai Chef, dancing by the wacky Clerical Error traditional Morris troupe, plus the beautiful music of Holywell Band.

“For children there’s Circus Skills and Forest School – and to add to the colour some stallholders will be wearing traditional Welsh costume.”

Parking is free all day in the Somerfield car park.

The Transition movement believes that anything that can help draw people into traditional high streets and thus help support small local businesses and producers is to be welcomed.
