STAFF at Hawarden Estate Farm Shop are hoping to taste further success in the coming weeks as they wait to find out if they have won two national awards.
The company, based on Chester Road, has secured a place in the final of the 10th annual Wales the True Taste Food and Drink Awards.
It scooped the title of Retailer of the Year at the awards in 2008 and 2009, and is now looking to take top place again in 2011.
The annual awards will be held in North Wales for the first time this year and finalists will find out if they have won at a ceremony which will take place at Venue Cymru in Llandudno on October 20.
The farm shop has also been nominated for the Local Sourcing award.
Rachael Madeley-Davies, shop manager, said: “We are absolutely thrilled that we have been short-listed. But competition is tough and retailers across Wales are upping their game. The competition gets tougher every year so we will have to wait and see.
“Hopefully we’ll have some good news to share with our customers soon.”
