Pressure Drop is a collective of vinyl selectors spinning everything from Ska to Roots, Dancehall to Dub, Reggae to Rocksteady.

The collective had a great first six  months at The Golden Eagle in Chester, topped off by a Hallowe’en special where Locksley Alphanso (The Pioneers, Jimmy Cliff Band) displayed his toasting finesse, street corner skanking and ska knowledge.

This December they're teaming up with Telford’s Warehouse to bring a special Pressure Drop with reggae roots band Trevor Roots and the Collaborators.

The band are a roots reggae band playing a mix of original songs and covers by artists ranging from Dennis Brown to Burning Spear.

Talented and creative musicians, they are known for their catchy songs, soulful vocals and energetic live performances.

Through the networks developed by playing in different bands within the diverse musical communities of Manchester, Trevor Roots and the Collaborators were formed.

Joined by a love of reggae, a shared history in M16 and making music, they reflect contemporary issues and the hope for a brighter future in their songs.

Trevor Roots and the Collaborators can be seen at Telford’s Warehouse in Chester on Saturday, December 28. There is free entry before 9pm, with admission £4 after that.
