THE Cadillac Kings will be playing blues, boogie, jumpin jive and rock’n'roll with the look, sound and intentions of the 1950s when they come to Telford’s Warehouse in Chester on Saturday (February 22).

Featuring six of the UK’s top blues and roots musicians, The Cadillac Kings play a mix of mostly original songs with a few well-chosen covers from the likes of T-Bone Walker, Roy Brown and Champion Jack Dupree have made the band firm favourites on both the blues and jump-jive scenes.

With backgrounds including Otis Grand’s Band, James Hunter’s Jokers, The Poorboys, Big Joe Louis and Little George Sueref, The Cadillac Kings came together in 2000. They became an immediate hit at venues and festivals across the UK.

Their 2001 debut CD Lou Ann received wide airplay, culminating in a nomination for the 2002 USA Swing Awards.
