Due to popular demand since 1993 the Stars From The Commitments have continued to spread the word of Dublin soul and receiving rave reviews.

The nine piece soul band from Dublin - which features within its ranks actual cast members and musicians from the original Commitments film - have performed more than 1,500 shows worldwide to hundreds of thousands of people at festivals, clubs, theatres, high profile corporate events and VIP parties (including a US President).

This dynamic band performs all the hits from the multi-million selling soundtrack albums and the Oscar nominated, Golden Globe and BAFTA award winning film: Mustang Sally, Chain of Fools, Take Me To The River, Try A Little Tenderness, Nowhere to Run, In The Midnight Hour and many more.

On many occasions the band has been invited to perform with soul legends BB King, Sam Moore (Sam and Dave), Steve Cropper (The Blues Brothers), Denis Edwards (The Temptations), Ben E King and the late James Brown and Wilson Pickett and also contemporary artists such as The Black Eyed Peas and Arrested Development.

The Stars From The Commitments also recorded a well received live album titled Committed To Soul introducing such soul classics as Hold On I’m Coming, Get Ready and You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman to the band’s repertoire.

In 2005 The Stars from The Commitments were invited to perform at the Speaker’s St Patrick’s Day luncheon on Capitol Hill, Washington DC. In attendance were US President George W Bush and Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern.
