Game of Thrones’s very own gentle giant Hodor is returning to Chester.

Kristian Nairn, who plays the much-loved character in the smash-hit show, will play a special DJ set at Rosies nightclub on June 30.

Away from the small screen the Northern Irish actor, who stands 6ft 10in tall, has been making a name for himself as a progressive house DJ.

He brought his ‘Rave of Thrones’ show to Cruise for the University of Chester Freshers Week in September last year.

Warning: Spoilers for Season Six of Game of Thrones below

Kristian Nairn, also known as Hodor in Game of Thrones, presented his DJ set 'Rave of Thrones' on Tuesday, September 29 at Cruise nightclub

Game of Thrones fans will know his appearance is likely to spark a lot of timely interest after the character’s dramatic death in episode five of the current series.

Hodor held the door and sacrificed himself to save Bran Stark from the onrushing army of the dead in what has been described as one of the most emotional moments in the programme's history.

Is that the end of 40-year-old Nairn’s time in the show though? Only time will tell.

A teaser on the Rosies Facebook page says there will be £2 drink offers and two-for-one deals on cocktails. Tickets are available via the Skiddle website.
