The Mouse Outfit are an eight piece eclectic hip hop act from Manchester who produce a slick combination of quality samples and fiendish beats.
Influenced by a smorgasbord of soul, jazz, funk, reggae and classic hip hop breaks and laced with lyrics from some of Britain’s most promising emcees, this is conscious British hip hop at its very best.
2013 saw the self release of their debut album Escape Music and a series of high quality music videos which not only showcases their promise as some of the UK’s leading hip hop producers, but also their skills as highly talented filmmakers.
Their live show features various guest MCs but is glued together by Dr Syntax, an emcee famed in his own right as a solo artist as well as a peripheral member of the mighty Foreign Beggars.
Having previously supported the likes of Cinematic Orchestra, Chali 2na and Souls of Mischief, the summer of 2013 saw the outfit take their new live set to many of the UK’s leading festivals including Boomtown, Greenman, Shambala, Bestival and Glastonbury where they were received with critical acclaim and hailed as the exciting future of UK hip hop.
They come to Telford’s Warehouse in Chester on Saturday, November 1. Entry is free before 9pm, £4 thereafter. Call 01244 390 090 or visit www.telfordswarehouse.com .
