The family friendly Seeds Music Festival, run by Chester community radio station Flipside, returns to Alexander’s in Rufus Court for the third year running on Sunday, July 31
The event offers a mix of music, art, dance and poetry that promotes and celebrates local live performance and community radio.
Seeds is a semi-acoustic festival where the bands will be playing a mix of alt-folk, folk-rock, Americana and country blues. The DJs will be playing a sunshine soundtrack to complement the bands playing.
There will be two live music stages showcasing the cream of the music scene from Chester and the surrounding areas.
On the outdoor stage in the garden there will be sets from Heal The Last Stand, The Glendale Family, Campfire Social, Texas Banjo Massacre, Alx Green, Anna Houghton, Mountainface and Isabella Crowther.
The outdoor acoustic stage in the courtyard will feature a mix of live acoustic music, poetry, spoken word flash fiction from Ginger Open mic and swing dance from Vintage Kicks.
Musicians performing on the acoustic stage include Jon Coley, Joseph Leo, The Northern Outlaws, Tom Martin, Danny Bradley and C-90.
There will be loads to do for the children, including a dress-up photo booth, face-painting and glitter tattoos by Glitterbugz and an art space to get creative.
It will feature local independent stalls Hush Vintage, Cyprium Jewelery, Henna by Angela and Suzy Schneider. There also will be a pop-up bar and barbecue in the garden.
The event runs from noon-midnight. £5 entry.
