After a fantastic summer and an album release of Tropical Gypsy, Molotov Jukebox head out on the UK roads to play a select handful of intimate shows which includes The Live Rooms in Chester on December 1.

The summer saw Natalia Tena and the band take to the main stages and headline slots at festival such as Secret Garden Party, BoomTown Fair, Lindisfarne Festival, Kendal Calling, Lakefest, Blissfields and international shows in Germany, Ukraine, Spain, Italy and Belgium.

The success of the first two singles from the album Pineapple Girl and If I Knew brings the third to the forefront in the form of Just The Thrill.

Natalia said: “This song centres on the idea that a fantasy has more of a pull than reality and maybe because the narrator has been there before, doesn’t immediately fall into fantasy’s arms, get submerged and let go of the anchor that is real life.

“It’s a song posed in the throes of a lust affair that may or may not be physical, it could just be all in the narrator’s mind, which adds, I hope, a more desperate lost landscape to the song.”

Molotov Jukebox returned with their much-anticipated second album Tropical Gypsy (released via Pause For Effect Records) in April 2016. The album displays a truly riotous whirlwind of Latino influenced horns, accordion and violin; all tightly bound together over guitar, bass and drums by the infectious vocals of musician and actress Natalia Tena.

Incorporating newly found sounds collected first hand on a South American tour last year, the band have added flavours of samba, fohó and cumbia to their existing Balkan influences.

Natalia said: “We made this album with a lot of passion and pulse, whilst using every artistic bone in our bodies to develop and focus our style and sound from the past album. We are incredibly grateful to be able to do the thing we love for our fans that understand what our music is about and where we are going with it.” All tickets can be purchased via www.molotovjukebox.com
