The Gathering Festival returns to Chester for the eighth year on May 3 at Alexander’s.
If you always wanted to go to a festival but did not fancy the camping or being stuck miles from anywhere, this is just the event for you!
This family friendly event goes from strength to strength and is now regarded as one of the best small independent festivals in the North West.
Once again it will have the very best of new music, including bands on the main stage, djs in the courtyard and acoustic acts, poets and children’s story tellers on the unplugged stage.
This year’s headliners Tiro Lark are creating a serious buzz prior to their appearance.
The band’s Liam Riyden said: “The Gathering is like one of those little malteser numbers you pull from a box of celebrations. Every gig is a treat but this one is the family favourite, everybody just eats it up. We’re all really looking forward to it.”
Other highlights include an Oasis tribute band Standing on the Shoulder of Oasis who will be playing all the hits on the main stage around 5pm.
Not only that but there will be stalls, face painting, glitter tattooing, activities for children, artists creating masterpieces on a painting wall, plus a barbecue and an outdoor bar through the afternoon.
Early bird tickets are available from thegatheringfestival.co.uk and you can buy on the door.
