Home grown band Dead Pixels from Broughton are making a name for themselves.

They have appeared on Dee 106.3 recently, being interviewed by Keiron Fox where they revealed three tracks from their EP Homegrown.

They are a three man band with Charlie Reader on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Daniel Hollinrake on acoustics and vocal harmony and Jordon Hollinrake as lead guitarist and songwriter.

The band came into existence in this form towards the end of summer 2013. They met in college where they were studying music.

Their first public performance was in October 2013 at Telford’s Warehouse in Chester. They have since played in Chester, North Wales and Liverpool.

One of their favourite places to play in Chester is Alexander’s, which they have played at about 20 times since last October.

Dead Pixels have played at a couple of including October’s Oxjam.

The name Dead Pixels was chosen because they all liked the way it sounded and it has proven to be a easy name to remember.

Their six song EP called Homegrown is available to download at www.deadpixelsofficial.com or on iTunes. They are currently working on their full length album The Novel which is due out in summer 2015.
