Christmas will come early this year for members of Llay Organ Society which stages their Christmas Spectacular festive concert at Llay Royal British Legion on Wednesday, November 26 at 7.30pm.

Popular organist Michael Wooldridge takes to the stage with drummer Gareth Thompson and special guests including singer Peter Chapman.

Michael, who had the honour of playing the organ of the Odeon Leicester Square for The Prince of Wales, has appeared regularly on TV and radio since winning the prestigious Organist Of The Year Competition in 1980 and has worked with some of the top names from the golden days of variety including Syd Little, Keith Harris and Jimmy Cricket as well as producing and musically directing numerous summer season variety shows, musicals and pantomimes over a long and varied career.

Organisers are promising a suitably festive setting for the concert which will include a selection of Christmas favourites as well as songs from the shows, light classical music, marches and everything in between.

Doors open at 6.45pm. Tickets which are £6 can be reserved by contacting 01978 351475. For further details about the society go to www.llayorgansociety.co.uk .
