An open-air food and drink festival in Tarporley will celebrate some of the best produce from across Cheshire and the British Isles.

Held annually, The Swan’s Food & Drink Festival boasts an impressive range of beers, ales and ciders from national brands, artisan breweries and pub favourites, with up to 15 different varieties to choose from, as well as a fantastic range of wines and cocktails. It runs from today (August 19) through to Sunday (August 21).

As well as the traditional summer beer festival, The Swan – on High Street, Tarporley – will be hosting food stalls from a number of the pub’s suppliers on Saturday. As guests sip on the wide variety of drinks on offer, they will be invited to sample everything from cheeses and patê to oysters and ice cream. Carefully selected by the pub’s team of hospitality experts, the produce on offer showcases some of the best available from Cheshire suppliers as well as across the UK.

There will also be the ever-popular barbecue menu, prepared by The Swan’s talented team of chefs, and live music to entertain guests well into the evening. Kids will also be kept busy with a bouncy castle, face painting and an ice cream stall throughout the day.

General manager Tyrone Fitzgerald said: “This is the second of our summer beer festivals and we are very much looking forward to building upon the success of last month’s festival. We’re pleased to be joined by local businesses and suppliers who will be showcasing their goods for our customers to enjoy on the Saturday as well as live acts to keep them entertained.

“I think events like these are something that the community needs and our aim is to provide a great weekend of events to our customers, with entertainment throughout, family-friendly activities, and quality local and British produce.”
