It's official, Brewery Tap on Lower Bridge Street serves the best beer in Chester according to real ale aficionados.
According to What Pub, a real ale database website run by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), the pub is the best place to go in the city if you want to get your mitts around a great pint.
The rankings are voted for by CAMRA members who give every pub a score based on the quality of beer that they serve.
Brewery Tap staved off competition from 121 other pubs within a 10km radius of the centre of Chester to claim the top spot.
According to What Pub, the pub doesn't have a regular ale but has no fewer than seven taps which alternate between different tipples sourced from breweries from across the land.
Second on the list of best pubs in Chester was the Pied Bull on Northgate Street while the Commercial Hotel in St Peter's Courtyard came third.
